9 months update

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Elijah turned 9 months on July 22…WOW! Time is just flying by. I’m enjoying every second with Elijah. It is a lot of ups and downs but the one thing I do know is that I love him more and more everyday. I feel so blessed to be his mother.

• 18 lbs 10 oz

• Crawling like crazy, tearing up the house

• Standing and taking steps holding onto objects

• Says Mum (mom)

• Eating solids but only wants to do it himself, which creates a bite of a struggle and is quite frustrating but we are working through it and with time it will get better.

• Pediatrican was very happy that he has never been sick

Overall he is a very happy, active baby.

Ready…Set…LIVE!

Daniel and I were talking the other night about our lives. For as long as I can remember we have wanted to keep our lives free. Free to go on a vacations whenever we want to, free to really LIVE our lives. Some where in the hussle of life we forgot about this. This freedom is the main reason why Daniel continues to pursue freelance. Yeah he could easily go get a full time corporate job where “the man” tells him when he can and cannot go on a vacation. Of course with accepting this freedom you sacrifice things that this world thinks are important, fancy cars, big houses, etc. Of course if you really think about it do those things make you happy. NO! What makes me happy is my family and spending time with them. So we’ve decided that we need to start living what we’ve been daydreaming about for so long. Yeah it may not be the most luxurious vacation, but it will be freedom. Now we have Elijah and we want him to see America and if possible (money allows) the rest of the world. We need to start embracing this freedom that God has blessed us with.

Watching Elijah makes me realize that we take forgranted the little things in life. A sparkling sunburst on the tiles floor or a drop of water. What small gift is God giving me everyday that I can’t see. God doesn’t always speak in a loud booming voice or a storm, sometimes it is in a small breeze or a whisper in the silence.
