Thrumonths

We thought we would never make it.There were times, in the early months, we thought we didn’t have anymore energy to do it and then Elijah would give us a little smile or a laugh and it would melt our hearts and once again we would be reminded of how amazing he is. We’ve gone from having this tiny little helpless infant to a toddler running rampant around the house. He is now a happy boy that in my opinion is physically advanced. He started walking around 10 and 1/2 months and is literally running now and is starting to try to jump. Bumps, bruises and the occasional bloody mouths are pretty much going to be the norm around our house. Elijah pretty much never cries, unless I’m pulling him away from the DVD player. He is starting to eat better, but he is still watching his waistline :)   Pediatrician said he is doing excellent and gave me some tricks to get more calories in him.

We are really looking forward to the next year. Watching him grow up is the biggest blessing God has ever given us.

Moving Pictures

We take a lot of little video of Elijah. Many of the clips don’t make it to the web because we’re pretty sure they only amuse us as his parents. But often we still try to share them.

Elijah is almost a year now. He’s becoming more of a little boy, rather than a baby, every day. Now when he sees other kids or babies he wants to interact with them. He’s beginning to understand right from wrong. And he says many words but their in his own language.

My sister, Lizzy, and her husband Joel just joined the parents club yesterday. They had an amazing baby boy named Luke Joel Hunter. Elijah was so excited about his new nephew that he made this video shout-out. We’re super excited for them and can’t wait to meet Luke.

Last week we also visited with Ryan and Christina. They’ve been parents for a couple months now and it was great to compare stories. We caught a little of Elijah and their son Noah on video. The interaction is priceless.
